The Kills en Madrid- Sala Heineken- 11 de abril 2008

La verdad es que he estado leyendo las impresiones de la gente que ha hecho sobre el concierto de Madrid del pasado viernes en el lastfm y coincido en algunas opiniones.

Llegué justo a ver a The Kills, con lo cual no puedo opinar de los teloneros. Per0 parece ser que estuvieron muy bien.

Creo que las expectativas de muchos era muy alta. Yo particularmente disfruté mucho del concierto, porque nunca antes los había visto y además como detonante, era la primera vez que iba a la Sala Heineken. Me sorprendió que no se hubiera llenado la sala, a pesar de lo pequeña que es. Sobre el sonido no puedo decir nada, no tengo referencias de conciertos anteriores, pero si que es verdad que el sonido no era muy bueno del todo, y la iluminación tampoco. Pero por lo demás todo genial, se me hizo corto el concierto, y eso es bueno. A mi me pareció un espectáculo digno de ver y que dos tíos en el escenario montén el tinclao que montaron subidos en el escenario. Creo que hasta se quedaron cortos, y podían haberla liado más. Pero un auténtico derroche de energía y garra de guitarras y voces, sobre todo es obvio la de Alison. Pero Jamie, cierto o no que se va a casar con Kate Moss, fue el alma de la noche. Pues es verdad que estuvo mucho más activo que ella, por lo menos se metió en el bolsillo a los asistentes de las primeras filas, con esos bailecitos de guitarra en mano, y mirando desafiadamente al público. Por lo menos animó un poco el cotarro.

Para mi el momento estelar fue cuando tocaron su single "Cheap and Cheerful", o cuando tocaron "Good Ones" del pasado álbum "No wow".

Objetivo cumplido disfruté del concierto, que es lo que cuanta al final. Y como estaba en la Sala Heineken, pues tendré que pensar en verde...

El debut single de Portishead de su próximo álbum Third será el tema "Machine Gun". A la venta el 14 de abril

Parece ser que el álbum de Portishead se ha infiltrado en la red antes de tiempo, antes de que salga a la venta el 28 de abril. Ya todos lo hemos escuchado como locos y antes de verlos en el primavera Sound este año, nos lo sabremos de memoria.

Pues dos semanas antes del estreno de su álbum, el 14 de abril, el trio, sacará su debut single tanto en CD como en Vinilo y será el tema "Machine Gun"

Parece ser que Third además de tener una edición limitada, también estará disponible en varios formatos como el USB y una caja especial también sacarán.

El 1 de abril Radiohead volverá a actuar en Londres para un público reducido de fans para la BBC Radio

Radiohead va a volvera a tocar gratis para la BBC, Radio 2, el próximo mes y para un número reducido de fans. Será una actuación íntima. Y será en el teatro de Londres el 1 de abril.

Pues para los que no vivimos en Londres, esperaremos a ver la actuación en video, hasta que vengan por España el 12 de junio.

The Kooks- Konk. Han anunciado el tracklist

La banda Americana The Kooks ha revelado ya el tracklist del que será su segundo álbum “Konk” que se publicará el próximo 14 de abril, después de su exitoso debut álbum “Inside In/Inside Out” del 2006.

Entre los 12 temas, se incluye su debut single “Always Where I Need To Be” que se editará el 31 de marzo (Virgin).

Su segundo álbum fue grabado a caballo entre Londres y Los Ángeles, donde trabajaron con el productor Tony Hoffer (que produjo también su primer álbum).

El proyecto de Alex Turner y Miles Kane será The Last Shadow Puppets: The Age of The Understatement. El single saldrá el 14 de abril y el álbum el 21

Cuanta espectación han causado Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) y Miles Kane (The rascals) en torno a lo que han creado juntos: The Last Shadow Puppets, que es como se harán llamar cuando estrenen su álbum "The Age of The Understatement", que será el 21 de abril. Estamos todos deseando escuchar ya el álbum.

Para rodar el video del tema "The Age of The Understatement" se fueron a Rusia, a Moscú y por lo que he leído ambos están bastante contestos.

"The Age of The Understatement" será el primer single y se publicará el 14 de abril con Domino records.

Tendremos álbum de grandes éxitos de Radiohead?

Tendremos que estar atentos a las próximas noticias de la banda de Oxford Radiohead.

Según una entrevista a un programa de radio de Canadá el guitarrista de Radiohead, Ed O'Brien dijo:

"They're planning to do a Greatest Hits for April/May to coincide with our tour. That's an interesting one. We won't be doing any promotion for that, obviously."

El bateria, Phil Selway, además dice:

"Well within their rights to do it. So we'll have to see."

El álbum de Alex Turner y Miles Kane sonará muy a los años 60' y se llamará "Big and Epic"

Por fin ya sabemos más del debut álbum de Alex Turner de los Arctic Monkeys y Miles Kane de The Rascals. Según una entrevista reciente tiene un toque muy sesentero.

Parece ser que el álbum se publicará en abril y se llamará "big and epic"

James Ford de Simian Mobile disco ha sido el encargado de producir el álbum y comentaba en una entrevista a la cadena musical BBC6:

"It's kind of quite sort of 'Sixties-y' and really good songs and there's a lot of orchestration and stuff."

"It's just a little side project for Al really. They're just a bunch of songs that him and Miles wrote together that didn't fit in to either of their individual bands."

"They just wanted to record the songs because they existed and they were good, really. We went away for a couple of weeks in the summer and had fun and recorded the whole thing."

Portishead . Su nuevo y tercer álbum en abril 2008

Y no me podía dejar sin mencionar que también tendremos disco nuevo de los ingleses de BRISTOL, de Portishead este año, tras 10 años de espera. Será el tercero que editan y saldrá en inglaterra en abril.

Actuaron en diciembre en exclusiva en el festival All Tomorrow's Parties en Minehead, Inglaterra.
