Alphabeat - Alphabeat (2008)
Pues ya he puesto en algún post anterior algún video y el single de estos chicos, y por fin he podido escuchar este álbum, que salió el pasado 9 de marzo y parece ser que son la nueva promesa en su país.
Alphabeat es una banda danesa de Silkeborg que firmaron con el sello danés Copenhagen Records. Su debut single, al que ya he hecho mención, fue "Fascination", y fue todo un exitazo el verano pasado en Dinamarca.
A su segundo single "10.000 Nights of Thunder" le ha sucedió lo mismo que al predecesor, ha pegado mucho y por eso ha sido álbum platino en Dinamarca. Todo un logro, ya que también ha llegado al resto de Europa.
Su sonido es es influenciado mayoritariamente por el pop melódico de los años 80, inspirándose en bandas como Deacon Blue y Prefab Sprout. Industicuble gran carga de voces armónicas tanto masculina como femenina.

La verdad es que he estado leyendo las impresiones de la gente que ha hecho sobre el concierto de Madrid del pasado viernes en el lastfm y coincido en algunas opiniones.
Llegué justo a ver a The Kills, con lo cual no puedo opinar de los teloneros. Per0 parece ser que estuvieron muy bien.
Creo que las expectativas de muchos era muy alta. Yo particularmente disfruté mucho del concierto, porque nunca antes los había visto y además como detonante, era la primera vez que iba a la Sala Heineken. Me sorprendió que no se hubiera llenado la sala, a pesar de lo pequeña que es. Sobre el sonido no puedo decir nada, no tengo referencias de conciertos anteriores, pero si que es verdad que el sonido no era muy bueno del todo, y la iluminación tampoco. Pero por lo demás todo genial, se me hizo corto el concierto, y eso es bueno. A mi me pareció un espectáculo digno de ver y que dos tíos en el escenario montén el tinclao que montaron subidos en el escenario. Creo que hasta se quedaron cortos, y podían haberla liado más. Pero un auténtico derroche de energía y garra de guitarras y voces, sobre todo es obvio la de Alison. Pero Jamie, cierto o no que se va a casar con Kate Moss, fue el alma de la noche. Pues es verdad que estuvo mucho más activo que ella, por lo menos se metió en el bolsillo a los asistentes de las primeras filas, con esos bailecitos de guitarra en mano, y mirando desafiadamente al público. Por lo menos animó un poco el cotarro.
Para mi el momento estelar fue cuando tocaron su single "Cheap and Cheerful", o cuando tocaron "Good Ones" del pasado álbum "No wow".
Objetivo cumplido disfruté del concierto, que es lo que cuanta al final. Y como estaba en la Sala Heineken, pues tendré que pensar en verde...

Muse fue premiada el pasado mes como mejor banda en directo por NME AWARDS y sus futuros planes
La banda inglesa Muse ha dicho que no espera sacar un álbum de la manera tradicional, pero sí singles.
El cantante Matt Bellamy dijo a la revista NME:
“I don't think we're going to approach the next album like we're making an album."
"I like the idea of releasing a series of songs, every month or every couple of months,,just putting songs out there."
"Almost like making the single a more prominent format, and then every few years doing a best of from that period and that would be the album. So in other words, throw out songs every couple of months and see how people like them."
Actualmente, la banda se encuentra preparando material nuevo en su estudio en Italia. Este verano estarán en festivales, como en Agosto, que serán cabezas de cartel del V Festival.
Además, fueron premiados como mejor banda inglesa en directo por la revista NME (NME AWARDS 2008)

El tercer álbum de Franz Ferdinand estará esta primavera
Parece se que la banda escocesa, que tanto me gusta, sacará su tercer álbum esta próxima primavera, después de su exitoso álbum "You could have it so much better" (2005), con Domino Records. El líder y vocalista del grupo, Alex Kapranos, en declaraciones que reproduce Dot Music, afirmó que pese a estar trabajando en su nuevo disco desde enero, aún les faltan varias canciones para completarlo.
"Todas las nuevas canciones tienen un elemento synth/dance mucho más marcado", comentó Kapranos, quien ya había anunciado con anterioridad el deseo de la banda de avanzar hacia un sonido totalmente distinto.
"Nick (McCarth, el guitarrista) se compró una capa nueva de terciopelo y necesitábamos una excusa para que se la pusiera, así que le conseguimos un montón de sintetizadores",
Entre las canciones que ya están listas se encuentran Favorite Lie, Anyone in Love, Flight of the Galvatron, English Goodbye,Turn It On y A New Thrill, ésta última basada en los personajes del libro de Truman Capote A sangre fría.
Además este veranolo podrán presentar en spaña ya que estarán actuando en el Festival de "Rock in Rio" en Madrid.

Según Myspace y NME estas serán las bandas que más darán de que hablar en el 2008
Según he leído recientemente la revista NME publicó el pasado 15 de febrero un noticia sobre un estudio que había hecho myspace que había predecido cuales iban a ser las bandas que más iban a pegar en este año en el que estamos analizando los usuarios registrados en myspace.
Ahora los modernos, ya no se hacen llamar indies sino Grindies!
Pues estaremos al tanto de estas bandas, pero por lo que se ve se va a llevar mucho el techno, electro, o todo los estilos nuevos que están saliendo. La verdad es que no se de donde habrán sacado esos valores para analizar esto, pero parece ser que por la manera que la gente se conoecta,los interesesen las modas o en las tendencias musicales, en la cultura, etc.
Pues el estudio lo ha hecho myspace y lo ha publicado la revista, para los que piensen que la revista NME apesta...pero luego bien que la gente habla de sus bandas, y sobre todo pincha sus temas....
Pues la banda que a mi más me gusta es Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong, Dead Disco y Make a Model. Se ve que todavía no me he hecho Grindie, creo que me queda bastante.

FACEBOOK, una herramienta social nueva y que te conecta con gente de tu alrededor
Ya está por fin la versión española desde este mes.

FACEBOOK es un sitio web de redes sociales. Fue creado originalmente para estudiantes de Harvard, pero ha sido abierto a cualquier persona que tenga una cuenta de correo electrónico. Los usuarios pueden participar en una o más redes, en relación con su situación académica, su lugar de trabajo o región geográfica.
En febrero de 2008 el sitio ha lanzado su versión en castellano, la primera en habla no inglesa, y ha anunciado el lanzamiento de versiones en francés y alemán, para impulsar su expansión fuera de Estados Unidos.
En febrero del 2007 llegó a tener la mayor cantidad de usuarios registrados en comparación con otros sitios orientados a estudiantes de nivel superior, teniendo más de 19 millones de miembros en todo el mundo (incluyendo redes de no estudiantes)[cita necesaria].
