Os presento la Web que hemos hecho y que espero que os guste. Así que le daré un giro musical al blog. Seguiré hablando de música pero ya pensaré en algo totalmente distinto a la Web, para no repetirme. Joy Division volverá a dar de que hablar este verano con el reproductor "Zune mp3".

Microsoft está preparando "The Zune Joy Division edition" para el 10 de junio y lo hará coincidir con el DVD documental de Grant Lee sobre la banda de Manchester.

El reproductor incluirá el trabajo artístico del debut álbum de la banda en 1978 , "Unknown Pleasures", creado por Peter Saville.

No es la primera vez que la banda usa el trabajo artístico de "Unknown Pleasures", usado con la marca de zapatillas deportivas New Balance Y El cantante Ian Curtis apareció también en un show de Converse.

M83- Saturday = Youth

El 14 de abril salío el álbum "Saturday= Youth" del francés Anthony Gonzalez.

"Saturdays=Youth" es la celebración explicita a la juventud, de sentimentos aturdidos de cuando tienes 15 años. Este álbum es una carta de amor en toda regla que evoca a la juventud mezclada con destellos eléctrónicos y sonidos retros a los 80. Realmente un disco para nostágicos.

El álbum además fue grabado con Ken Thomas (conocido por sus trabajos con Sigur Rós, The Sugarcubes, Cocteau Twins y Suede) y Ewan Pearson (que también ha producido a Tracey Thorn, The Rapture y Ladytron) y editado con Mute Records.

Anthony Gonzalez hace referencia al sábado como:

"Saturday is definitely the coolest day of the week for a teenager and that's the reason Saturday is in the title,"

"Saturday always reminds everyone of their youth".

Pues es verdad que el sábado está hecho para bailar y es el día de la semana en el que nos sentimos más jóvenes y queremos brillar.

Canciones como "Kim & Jessie" (perfectamente podría ser un hit de verano) o "Up!" o el segundo single "Graveyard Girl" son realmente buenas. Pero la canción clave en este álbum es debut single "Couleurs", que nos lleva a otro nivel de sonidos, de escapismo.

"Saturdays=Youth" es indiscutiblemente un álbum de pop con guisos a los 80, y con melodías para cantar.

Video de su segundo single, "Graveyard Girl" (dirigido por Mathew Frost) y que se publicó el 15 de abril .

Flight of the Conchords sacará álbum el 22 de april

El dúo de folk-pop comedia formado por Bret McKenzie y Jemaine Clement, de Wellington, Nueva Zelanda, es la nueva promesa. Su debut EP "The Distant Future" fue galardonado con un Grammy. Ahora vuelven con su álbum homónimo "Flight of the Conchords" que será publicado el próximo 22 de abril por Sub Pop.

Estas 15 canciones hacen homenaje a bandas como Pet Shop Boys, censorship, Marvin Gaye, sexism, Shabba Ranks, y backhanded compliments.

Dos actrices de Hollywood estrenan álbumes este año (2008): She & Him con " Volume One" y Scarlett Johansson con "Anywhere I Lay My Head"

Como probablemente ya estéis informados que dos actrices de Hollywood han tenido escarceos este año en la industria de la música: Scarlett Johansson y Zooey Deschanel. Esta última se emparejó con M. Ward, y juntos han hecho el álbum "Volume One" dándose a conocer como She & Him. El álbum, que además ha tenido muy buenas críticas, salió el pasado mes de marzo, el 18 por Merge Records.

Además todas las canciones han sido compuestas por Zooey Deschanel, menos "Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?", que pongo para descargar:

Cajun Dance Party y su debut álbum "The Colourful Life", saldrá el 28 de abril.

La banda londinenense Cajun Dance Party estrenará su debut álbum 'The Colourful Life'el próximo 28 de abril. En donde estos adeolescentes nos hablaran de sus alocadas historias de amor y juventud.

Álbum fue producido por Bernard Butler, reflejado en toda la obra, ya que le imprime mucha calidad. Incluye además el singe "Amylase".
