Hoy mismo se ha anunciado que la banda The Charlatans obsequiará a sus fans con un álbum gratis en Internet y que se podrá descargar por medio de la cadena de radio "XFM radio".
El 22 de octubre se podrá descargar en Internet el single "You Cross My Path" en xfm.co.uk, pero para el álbum tendremos que esperar al 2008.
El manager del grupo, Alan McGee, dijo:
"We were really excited when Xfm got behind us and were as enthusiastic about the download as we are. They are the first people to embrace music for the people."
"The band will get paid by more people coming to gigs, buying merchandise, publishing and sync fees. I believe it's the future business model."
