The Strokes- Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology) con Eddie Vedder & Josh Homme

Pues no todo van a ser novedades, recapitulemos y volvamos al verano del 2006, y recordemos este pedazo de single y caras b...que ayer volví a escuchar. Strokes es sin duda una de mis bandas favoritas.

Este single "You only live once" fue el tercero del álbum "First Impressions Of Earth". Single que me gusta mucho, pero más por sus caras b...como no mi Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) y Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age) juntos. A ambos los vi en concierto el verano pasado, y lo que daría por volver a verlos.

Lo que me gustó por cierto "Into the Wild" cuando la vi y la plorera que me pegué...

Tres bandas americanas juntas, y vaya con la combinación. NY Vs Seatlle Vs Los Angeles

Hoy además Queen of the Stone age estarán tocando en Bilbao...

Pues a espensas de que digan si sacan o no y cuando disco nuevo, y que Albert Hammond Jr saque álbum de una vez, que lleva diciendo desde noviembre diciendo ya está casi terminado su segundo álbum en solitario, pues seguiremos escuchando sus canciones antiguas...

Me encantas las caras b de estos chicos. En el single de " Heart In A Cage" tienen una cara b del tema "Life is a gas" de los Ramones...que bueno!!!

Glasvegas- It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry. Segundo single a la venta el 14 de febrero

El segundo single de la banda escocesa de Glasgow Glasvegas saldrá a la venta el día de San Valentín, el 14 de febrero y será del tema "It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry " (Sane Man Recordings).

Le precede el single "Daddy's gone".

Sin duda alguna es la letra de una canción de estilo romántico indie/pop del amor que le procesa un hijo a su padre .

Para la revista NME a pesar de que se estrenó tarde fue votada por los lectores como la canción del año 2007.

Ellos de consideran fans de otras bandas como: The Jesus & Mary Chain, Morrissey, bedsit miserablism, Johnny Cash,y Ian Brown

En su myspace también se puede escuchar la cara b del single (Daddy's Gone) que es el tema "Flowers and football tops".

A partir del 25 de enero la banda estará de gira. La empezarán en Northampton y la terminaran el 18 de febrero en Newcastle.
